Why this riff works
Main riff from one of my originals, Allswell. Simple Phrygian dominant riff that can get you tangled on the string skipping.
There's a clip of Chris Adler describing the drum beat in "Forgotten (Lost Angels)" as "metal as fuck". This riff was meant to sit nicely on that grooveless, ride-bell-pounding beat.
