These terms are between you and Riffipedia LLC, a New York limited liability company ("Riffipedia", "we", "us"), which operates riffipedia.com.
The short version
Share your own riffs, be honest, don't steal. Downloads are for learning, not for re-selling. We can remove content and accounts that break these rules.
Your submissions
By submitting a riff you confirm it is your own original work, and you give Riffipedia a non-exclusive license to host and display it — including the tab file, its rendered notation, your commentary, and any video you link. You keep full ownership of your music. Submissions are moderated; we may decline or remove anything at our discretion.
Your tabs (RiffWright)
Tabs you write or import in RiffWright are private unless you share them — with named people, or with anyone who has the link. You keep all rights to your tabs. A tab written with others is owned jointly by the co-writers credited on it. Riffipedia only gets the rights it needs to store your tabs, play them back, and display them the way you choose: to you, to the people you share them with, and on the site if you post a tab as a riff (your submission terms above apply from then on).
Downloads (Guitar Pro files and presets)
When a contributor allows downloads, the file is offered for personal use and learning only. No redistribution, no re-uploading elsewhere, and no commercial use without the author's permission. The riff remains the author's work — treat the download like borrowing their notebook, not owning it.
Amp and plugin presets shared on profiles fall under the same license: personal use and learning, no redistribution, no bundling into preset packs, and no commercial use without the author's permission. By uploading a preset you confirm it is your own creation and not taken from a purchased or commercial pack. Preset files are stored and served exactly as uploaded — we never open or modify them, so load them with the same care you would any file from the internet.
Uploaded videos
You keep ownership of any video you upload. By uploading it you let Riffipedia store it, process it into web-ready versions, display it on the site, and generate a Riff Reel from it for you. We keep the processed copy, not your original file — the original is deleted once processing succeeds, so keep your own copy. Riff Reels are deleted from our servers about seven days after they are made; you can make one again any time.
Cover Reels
A cover Reel is a video of you playing someone else's song, made with your tab and your take. Riffipedia never publishes it: it is not a riff, it appears nowhere on the site, and only you can download it. You are responsible for where you post it and for any rights the song's owners hold. The uploaded video, any studio audio and the rendered Reel are deleted seven days after rendering. Riffipedia LLC operates Cover Reels under these terms. (Full terms to follow.)

Riffipedia removes content in response to valid copyright claims. See our DMCA page for the formal process.
