First7 - Main

I cleverly named this one First7 because it was the first riff I came up with on my 7-string Strandberg Boden Prog NX7. How do people name riffs without lyrics? I tend to reach for literally whatever is on my mind the moment I press save on my GPX file, and it's generally totally disconnected from the riff's characteristics. Most of my riffs start in my head, then Guitar Pro, then I learn to play it. This one just kind of came out when I started playing. I think it's technically in A minor but it has a major feel because it roots on C. It has a lot of percussive variety including some finger picking. Plus, playing in A minor gives you access to open strings to create resonance you only get from open strings and the ability to cleanly move around the neck.
