Why this riff works
Just a very simple Meshuggah-esque groove. 4 notes, 2 strings, minor third harmony on the low C to make it slightly less pleasant.
Riffs don't have to be difficult. I didn't spent any time engineering it to be more technical or complicated, clearly, because it just works.
